Shiloh (RKG) - King Silas Benjamin once again went on Pilgrimage, retreating from his kingly duties for reflection and meditation. Silas took with him hundreds of reports prepared by his ministers, by top intellectuals, and by ordinary citizens. These reports contain suggestions for bettering the nation, and during his time away Silas read and considered. Following Pilgrimages past, King Silas has returned with grand visions for the nation, including the construction of Unity Tower, the nationalization of health care, and the Inclusion Act, guaranteeing all subjects the equal right to serve in the nation's military.
In keeping with the tradition of Pilgrimage, King Silas went alone to an undisclosed location. No one, not even Queen Rose, was informed where the King was going.
While citizens and Board members supported the King's leave, many questions arose regarding the timing of his religious journey, namely what action (or inaction) influenced the King to attenuate duty from Shiloh.
In his absence, Prince Jack Benjamin assumed the powers of the Crown as Prince Regent. Shiloh is coming to see Prince Jack in a new light as the image of the "Party Prince" fades while his political career advances.
Upon his return, the King brought forth not a new policy but instead a reflection on what the country already has -- what the King himself already has. In a Boardroom meeting at Unity Hall, His Royal Majesty sought out Prince Jack, Princess Michelle and Andrew Cross as holding meaningful positions in the court that fulfill a great responsibility.
"We have so much to learn from them. More than we can offer in return. They are sincere where we have become cynical. They speak the truth where we... we are practical," said King Silas stated, filling an air of warmth and connection throughout the court.
But stirring surprise was the election of the King's new advisor, Cpt. David Shepherd. Ministers, royalty and the citizens of Shiloh are still contemplating this nomination; more importantly, whether King Silas' Pilgrimage held influence over the decision to replace the seat previously held by the late Gen. Linus Abner.
