Shiloh (RKG) – Rumors that Princess Michelle Benjamin is romantically involved with Captain David Shepherd, the hero who destroyed the Goliath tank, were denied by sources inside Altar Mansion.
"They're just good friends," said Arthur Dalton, a personal valet to the royal family. "Gossip columnists want to turn their innocent relationship into something romantic, but it's just not true."
The Princess and Shepherd are said to have met at the banquet King Silas hosted in Shepherd's honor, and the young war hero caused a stir when he asked the Princess to dance.
Shepherd's heroics during the Gath War have launched the long-awaited peace process between Gath and Gilboa and made him something of a national hero. But while Michelle Benjamin is no stranger to the press, it is usually her brother Jack who captures such attention when his personal life goes public.
"She doesn't have time for a love life right now," said a close personal friend who asked to remain anonymous. "Sure David is cute, but Michelle is focused on her work, especially her new health care initiative."
Princess Michelle has been working tirelessly to initiate legislation that would improve national health care, and has presented several reform proposals to King Silas Benjamin, according to Mr. Dalton, the royal valet.
"She cares a lot about people, and sometimes her generosity is misconstrued," said Mr. Dalton. "Capt. Shepherd is new to Shiloh, and the Princess has merely been a friend as he acclimates to the city."
Both Princess Michelle and Capt. Shepherd declined to comment for this article.
