Shiloh (UNN) - In a stunning announcement, King Silas Benjamin appointed Captain David Shepherd as his personal Advisor on all matters foreign, domestic, military, and moral. The King, who made the announcement immediately upon his return from Pilgrimage, spoke of the hope he had in the future, and that "the wise men today had much to learn from youth."
"They are sincere where we have become cynical." He added, singling out not only Shepherd, but his son, daughter, and nephew for acknowledgement. "They speak the truth where we... we are practical."
"I was as shocked as anybody," Captain Shepherd spoke with the Guardian after the announcement had been made. "But the King has asked my counsel, and I will give him the best advice I can."
The post of Advisor had been empty since the tragic death of King Silas's long time friend and Minister of the Military, General Linus Abner. He died this past fall, presumably from complications related to the Araunah Plague.
Captain Shepherd's new duties are to start this week, with the next open session of the Court.
