Hero of Gilboa David Shepherd

Other headlines

Shiloh (UNN) - Can you really be a regular guy and lead a normal, low-key life when you've proven yourself a national hero?

David Shepherd hopes so, and he is doing his best to prove it -- at least in the first few weeks since he stood down a Goliath tank and fostered peace between the long-warring Gilboa and Gath.

Shepherd, a native of Port Prosperity, has moved to Shiloh, insisting that it's his first time in the capital. "I missed the eighth grade class trip," Shepherd said.

He seemed slightly taken aback on Friday when he first addressed the country as the Military Liaison to the Press Corps. But in press briefings since, the now promoted Captain Shepherd seems to be settling in to life off the battlefield.

With his image in newspapers around the country, David Shepherd has become a household name. But Shepherd remains modest in the face of his rising celebrity: "I'm no star. I just did what I had to for our country. For peace."
